OK as usual, I don't claim to be the best or that there aren't better ways to do this, but I am going to show how I do it.
Addons:
Starting off I will go over addons, for healing in WOW I feel I need them. My sister heals without them but I use them so I'll talk about what I use. There are other options, healbot or vuhdo but I won't discuss them here. Skip this part if you aren't interested in the addons.
Grid www.curse.com/addons/wow/grid
Gives you a comfortably sized screen from which you can select a target and heal them quickly and you can easily see who needs heals. It shows most debuffs and there are a wide range of settings so you can add things such as showing a color in the corner for aggro or another color for target with beacon of light. For me it works well.

It's like keybidings/mouse overs only easier so I can do it. You make it so when you, lets pretend Shift and Left Click on a target it casts holy light. Works great with grid as you can cast heals on people you aren't targeting.
Deadly Boss Mod...tells you about important dispells and what to do during a fight. Everyone really needs this.
Recount: Tells you what the DPS are doing and also you can find out how high your heals are.
Now to the actual info!
Stat Priority: Spirit > Intellect > Mastery > Haste > Crit
Reforging:
If you have mana issues, reforge weakest stat (see priority above) to Spirit. If you don't, reforge to Mastery or Haste.

As usual have fun with it! This is just what I liked best.
Pursuit of Justice
Repentance (nice little CC that no one seems to have anymore.
)Eternal Flame- I love this as it give me a little heal over time. It doesn't look like much but watch your Recount if you use it right your heals will go way up and you will find healing a lot easier.

Battle Healer---as I hope to pvp and sometimes dungeons are easy enough I can start hitting stuff with crusaders strike.
Rotation:
SEAL OF INSIGHT ON YOU AT ALL TIMES.
Beacon of Light: Typically I say put it on the tank, if the tank is super squishy it may be best to put it on yourself or a dps and directly cast the heals on the tank.
Holy Light- This is like your bread, feel free to use like it's going out of style.
Holy Shock-(Compare to butter) Always be using it to build up Holy Power try to have the maxim number of charges (5) before starting a fight as I find it very helpful.
Eternal Flame/ Word Of Glory- A great heal, build a minimum of two charges before using it and 3 if you really want it heal up well.
Divine Light- As the help tip says "good for periods of heavy damage" it is. Use sparingly however as it drains a lot of mana.
Flash of Light- Use this only if you see a wipe in sight and you have the mana. Heals ok but it burns a lot of mana.
Light of the Dawn and Holy Radiance should be saved primarily for when the group is stacked in close range as they are useless if everyone is spread out.
OK so lets say average 5 man healing rotation looks something like this: Holy Shock, Holy Light, and Eternal Flame/Word of Glory. If this isn't keeping up move to using a Divine Light. Emergencies only do you use Flash of Light. Oh and Light's Hammer whenever it's off CD.
AOE: Must be stacked for this to be useful...

Avenging Wrath: Use as needed for burst healing.
Devotion Aura Raid wide cooldown: Use at the discretion of your party/raid leader.
Divine Favor: Use as needed for burst healing.
Divine Plea: Use as needed for additional Mana.
Divine Protection: Powerful self-survival cooldown.
Divine Shield: Powerful self-survival cooldown. No downside for healers! I hit this and then use my double Hand of Sacrifice. I save it for oom time.
Guardian of Ancient Kings: Great for Divine Light spam.
Lay on Hands Major healing cooldown. Save it for an important party member.
Hand of Sacrifice: Redirect damage from other players.
A lot I know but it is very useful. Nice note, if there is a druid beg for Symbiosis as it gives a holy pally a battle rez.
